Site Audits

As management, sending crews of skilled personnel off to carry out works on your behalf is a trust thing, it is difficult to know exactly what is going on at site.
  • Are procedures being carried out correctly?
  • Are sites being set up as you wanted them to be as laid out in your Plan of Work?
  • Are works actually being carried out safely?
  • Is equipment provided being used and used correctly?

  • Unannounced independent external site audits can help put your mind at rest esspecially given that enforcing authorities carry out unannounced site inspections, where in effect you the LARC, have sent them a written invitation to visit.

Our audits cover all aspects of the contract we are reviewing from Plan of Work, SOP's, site conditions and set up, removal observation (when happening whilst audit taking place) and welfare allocation. Our audits are not just a tick-box exercise, all aspects where appropriate are evidence based with photographs. Therefore, you can see what we have seen, albeit good, bad or indifferent when we were on site.

During my time as a supervisor I had the pleasure of many external site audits on the jobs I was running, some auditors in my opinion were good and some not so much so. The ones I felt were good arrived on site with an open mind, helpful attitude and if things could do with improvement these were explained to me. Yes, they were still noted on the audit, but I also received an education at the same time, our ethos is to educate not just to find fault and report it.

Site Audits are completed with a debrief with the site supervisor to inform them of our findings, qualify those findings and suggest possible solutions. Following leaving site the applicable manager or contract manager will be telephoned to inform them of our findings. A written report will follow once compiled, complete with photographs.

    Office Audit

    Office Audits

Running a licensed asbestos removal company is a complex operation, what with regulations to be followed, licence conditions to be abided by, clients wants and wish lists to be catered for, not to mention the record-keeping and targets to be achieved, all adding up to a complex and at times a mind-blowing experience.

An office audit would put your mind at ease and give you an insight to where you are regarding self-set targets, the robustness of your file storage for plant, personnel and contract files. We would also carry out an inspection for completeness of a randomly selected completed contact file.

Our office audits are completed with an informal debrief and followed up, with a full written report on our findings and recommended actions.
